CAPRICORN ELEMENTS

The artwork used fingers to apply pastel color on Nagomi paper. In this artwork, I learnt to color a white base to the art paper, and then cover the white base with blue pastel to create a blue background. For the hills, I created my own curve-shape stencil to draw the outline of the hills, and applied yellow pastel over the blue based to create the green lands. I also learnt to use oval-shape stencils to erase the background color to show the white base to form the body of the sheeps, and then used charcoal pencil to draw the heads and legs of the sheeps. The circle bubbles were created by erasing the background color to give the white base with circle-shape stencils. I surprised to see the white bubbles give dreamy effect to the artwork. I am amazed that simple tools can be made to create such a nice artwork for my first try on Pastel Nagomi... A place to find ways to relax and enjoy your great time through technologies.
