Dr. Dequina was born in the Philippines and grew up in the San Gabriel Valley area. She did her undergraduate at California Polytechnic University Pomona. She went to St. Matthew's University Veterinary School in the Cayman Islands and did her clinical rotation in North Carolina State University. She completed her Master's in Business Administration (MBA) at Davenport University.
She has a turtle named Methuselah. She loves to go to restaurants and beaches in her free time. She also loves to exercise and spend time with her friends and family.
Dr. Dilip Bhalerao is an award-winning veterinarian with over 40 years of experience. He has worked in both the academic and clinical sides of veterinary medicine and provides continuing education programs and mentorship to veterinary students. He is a proud member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and Southern California Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Bhalerao was trained at the Department of Clinical Studies at the University of Pennsylvania and Oklahoma State University and is licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Pennsylvania, Nevada, and California. He obtained a doctorate in transfusion medicine and has had special training in hereditary diseases of companion animals and genetic counseling. Dr. Bhalerao is also a proud member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and Southern California Veterinary Medical Association.
After working in several veterinary clinics in the Los Angeles area, Dr. Bhalerao is now actively practicing in Whittier, California. We are happy to have a very passionate, caring, and dedicated veterinarian on our team and we look forward to seeing him continue to practice quality medicine here at Whittier Dog and Cat Hospital.
