With Rakuten Golf Club, we wanted to start creating a new microservice architecture alongside our current monolithic system. This gave us a chance to formulate new coding standards and reorganize our data into new database schemas. Coordinating with the other various Rakuten services involved and our offshore team members for development tested my communication and project management skills... Rakuten Sponichi Golfers Club (SGC) is a premium golf membership service in Rakuten GORA. As a service acquired by Rakuten, our team was responsible for transforming the obtained system and serving it through our newly developed microservice architecture. We allowed their already existing customer base to seamlessly transition to our new platform.
