In 2010, after being laid off from the aircraft industry due to the recession, and working two retail jobs to make ends meet, our owner went to work for a local sod farm. Already growing up with a love for nature and the outdoors, Austen quickly found himself at home on the farm. He got his start planting, mowing, and harvesting several varieties of sod. When out on deliveries, the customers would ask him to stick around and help install the sod. Being a hard worker and feeling enthusiastic about helping people transform their lawns, Austen jumped at the opportunity and founded South Central Sod Installations...
