MICROBIOTA THERAPEUTICS

Our program was born in 2008 in response to a challenge posed by Clostridium difficile infections, which have become increasingly more difficult to control with antibiotics alone. However, C. difficile infection is only one of many problems associated with damage done to the human gut microbes (the gut ‘microbiota'), and repair of this microbiota is a new frontier of medicine... Our team collaborates with clinicians and researchers around the world to explore novel therapeutic uses for intestinal microbiota transplants. The microbiome is associated with many aspects of both health and chronic conditions.
