Nutmeg Puppet Co was founded in 1979 to produce and tour original and entertaining shows and workshops for all ages and abilities. We have established a reputation for making shows inspired by environmental issues, history and legends, and for producing well-researched teaching materials... We are happy to perform and run workshops in all kinds of venues, including small theatres, schools, home-education groups, community centres, residential homes, museums, and libraries, and enjoy working in the open air at events, festivals and on natural sites... As one of Nutmeg's first ‘junior interns', Ellie has been part of the team as long as she can remember. A childhood spent pootling in the workshop, joining in shows and going on tour in the school holidays evolved into making puppets and props and even co-performing the show one summer. Since completing a textiles degree she has gone on to other ventures, including embroidery design and children's-wear retail. She will always be a little..
