Education:
Dr. Nel obtained his medical degree and residency training in South Africa by 1995. He worked as an emergency medicine and critical care physician in South Africa and Canada in both secondary and tertiary care centres from 1996 until 2005.
In 2006, Dr. Nel moved to Alberta and worked in general practice in Red Deer, as well as, addiction medicine in Edmonton, and part time at Central Alberta Orthopedics as an initial assessment physician. He has since joined Central Alberta Orthopedics full time in 2022, providing care in musculoskeletal medicine and ultrasound guided injection therapy.
Dr. Henderson is a dedicated orthopedic surgeon with training and special interest in arthroplasty and foot and ankle surgery. He is a team player dedicated to evolving the practice of medicine with through a constructive and progressive approach.

Dr. Barnsdale is a Family Physician with interests in Sport Medicine, Musculoskeletal Medicine, Exercise Medicine and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound, including guided injection therapy. He also has interests in Nutrition and Bariatrics.
Dr. Myburgh is a family physician with interest in musculoskeletal medicine, sports and exercise medicine and musculoskeletal ultrasound, especially ultrasound-guided injection therapy.

Dr. Pearce is a Community Orthopedic Surgeon with a high volume of hip and knee arthroplasty procedures. He is committed to providing the highest quality of patient care through leadership in transforming the care delivery model. Currently, he is the Medical Director of the Central Alberta Hip & Knee Clinic.
Education:
Dr. Rattan was raised in Red Deer and graduated from Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School. He attended the University of Alberta and obtained a BSc in 1977. He then went to Podiatry School in California and graduated in 1981.
After completing a Surgical Residency, he went to the University of Calgary to obtain his MD in 1986. He then completed a Family Practice Residency in 1988 and moved back to Red Deer to start his practice in Family Medicine. He obtained the CASEM Dip. Sport Med. in 1990. He has also received a Certificate of added Competency in Sport and Exercise Medicine from the CCFP.
He has worked at Central Alberta Orthopedics since 2012 as a Sport Medicine Physician.
