Danae Quevedo

Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Danae started her ballet training under the direction of Nina Novak and Ruta Butviliene. She continued her training under scholarship at the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington D.C., where she graduated and received her artistic certificate of Vaganova technique. She also received a scholarship to the Washington Ballet and special recognition in Venezuela. Ms. Quevedo has danced professionally with Ballet Clásico de Cámara, Ballet Teresa Carreño and Ballet Contemporáneo de Caracas in Venezuela, as well as Compañía de Danza Clasica de Jalisco, Mexico, where she performed as a Soloist dancer in productions of The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Don Quixote, La Bayadere, Les Sylphides, Paquita, among others. She has also been a teacher at Escuela Nacional de Danza in Caracas and academies in Guadalajara. Since her arrival in San Antonio she became a Soloist dancer for Ballet San Antonio.While with Ballet San Antonio, Danae was the representative for their outreach program with the Boys and Girls Club. Currently Danae is Owner and Director of Cibolo City Ballet. On 2018 she became certified on Progressing Ballet Technique, a conditioning program designed for ballet dancers. Danae served as rehearsal assistant for the Children's Cast for Ballet San Antonio's Nutcracker on 2019 and 2021. Danae has trained and coached Cibolo City Ballet students to attend international ballet competitions such as Youth America Grand Prix, Universal Ballet Competition and American Dance Competition obtaining scholarships and placing in the top 3 and top 12 in the Pre Competitive, Junior, Senior, Pas de Deux and Small Ensemble Categories, having several of her students attend competition Finals.
