The most recent version (released in 2017) features an updated user experience, a companion mapping application (OnPoint), and many new features that current Cruise Control users will find improve their efficiency in the field and the office. The development of the Cruise Control Software started in 2003 after many years of struggling with other programs. The goal of Cruise Control was that the software needed to be easier for the forester out in the woods. And if Cruise Control was not better and faster than paper, then we were not going to meet our goal.
