ECMM

The European Community Monitoring Mission (ECMM) was established in July 1991 as a diplomatic mission to assist in the establishment of stability in the region. It brings together fourteen of the fifteen EU partners along with the Czech Republic, Norway, Denmark, Poland and Slovakia. The Mission's main areas of interest lie in political, economic and humanitarian matters but also include consideration of military and human rights issues in the former Yugoslavia and the bordering countries of Albania and the Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia... In 1991 the European Commission Monitoring Mission (ECMM ) has been mandated with the supervision on military, political, humanitarian and economical developments in former Yugoslavia.
