My diverse experiences laid the foundation of empathy and integrity that I have brought to my legal practice. I escaped from Vietnam as a refugee at age 4. My father and I settled in Fullerton, California, where we were reunited with my mother and sister five years later... I served 10 years in the United States Air Force (USAF). While an active duty member of the military, I earned my bachelor's degree in Legal Studies from the University of Maryland University College. When my enlistment ended honorably, I went on to pursue a career in the legal profession... In 2013, I received my Juris Doctor at the University of the District of Columbia, David A. Clarke School of Law. During my first year of law school, I was selected for the Dean's Fellowship Program. As a law student, I was the president of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association and elected Marshall for the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity.
