Jeffrey Ellison is a Licensed Psychologist (LP) and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) providing evidence based psychotherapy, psychological assessment, and diabetes education services for Kintegra Health in Gastonia, NC. Kintegra is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) providing medical, behavioral health, and dental services for uninsured and underserved individuals throughout the region. Jeffrey also serves on the Gaston Controlled Substances Coalition (GCSC). GCSC's mission is to help increase community awareness and expand the availability of evidence-based harm-reduction and treatment options for individuals with opioid use and other substance use disorders. Jeffrey earned a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from East Tennessee State University in 2014. After earning his degree he returned to Gastonia, NC with his family to serve the community in which he was raised. Jeffrey's clinical interests including cognitive and behavioral treatment of child behavior problems, ADHD, diabetes, and chronic health concerns. He also has interests in psychological testing and assessment of ADHD (adult and child) and autism spectrum disorder. Jeffrey's research interests include the integration of primary care and behavioral health and the use of technology (e.g., videoconferencing software) in expanding behavioral health access to rural and under-served communities.
