Bryan Carpenter - COO, VP

Bryan was promoted to Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Palmetto Railways in June 2018 after having served as the Director of Transportation. As the COO, Bryan is responsible for all railroad operations to include train service, locomotive and railcar maintenance and repair, fleet maintenance, maintenance of way, service design and customer service. As the COO, Bryan is responsible for all railroad operations to include train service, locomotive and railcar maintenance and repair, fleet maintenance, maintenance of way, service design and customer service. Bryan began his employment with Palmetto Railways in February 2003 as a switchman on the extra board. He progressed through the train and engine service department as a conductor and locomotive engineer before entering management where he served as Trainmaster, Senior Trainmaster and finally, the Director of Transportation. Before joining Palmetto Railways, Bryan served in the United States Marine Corps as a Marine Security Guard working closely with the U.S. Department of State and its Bureau of Diplomatic Security in Istanbul, Turkey and Gaborone, Botswana. Bryan is a member of the American Short Line and Regional Rail Association, American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association and the Propeller Club of the United States - Port of Charleston. He is also an active volunteer in youth sports in the Charleston Metro Region.

Patrick McCrory - CEO, President

Patrick McCrory was appointed to the role of President and Chief Executive Officer of Palmetto Railways in January 2022. Prior to that appointment, Patrick held the role of the Vice President & Chief Commercial Officer from 2015 to 2022 and Vice President & Chief Operating Officer from 2013 to 2015 at Palmetto Railways. Patrick McCrory was appointed to the role of President and Chief Executive Officer of Palmetto Railways in January 2022. Prior to that appointment, Patrick held the role of the Vice President & Chief Commercial Officer from 2015 to 2022 and Vice President & Chief Operating Officer from 2013 to 2015 at Palmetto Railways. In these roles Patrick has been responsible for all operations, safety, sales & marketing, business development, strategic planning and major project development for the organization. Patrick began his career with APM Terminals as a stevedore in Charleston in 2005 and eventually held various management positions within operations, training, safety and human resources throughout the APM Terminals North American network. Transitioning into the railroad industry in 2010, Patrick worked in senior terminal management positions at intermodal terminals located in Ohio, Georgia and North Carolina for CSX Intermodal Terminals, Inc. As a graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York, Patrick obtained a Bachelors of Science in Logistics and Intermodal Transportation and a United States Coast Guard Third Mate Oceans, Unlimited Tonnage License for Merchant Mariners. Additionally, Patrick earned a Master's Degree in Transportation Management with a focus in Supply Chain Operations from the University of Denver. Patrick is a veteran of the United States Navy Reserve where he served as a Strategic Sealift Officer. Patrick holds membership in the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association, American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association, Intermodal Association of North America and the Propeller Club of the United States - Port of Charleston. Patrick is a board member of the University of Denver Transportation & Supply Chain Institute and the Maritime Association of South Carolina.

Sheri brings a wealth of experience from her career in public accounting, financial services, land development and healthcare. She also serves on the board of both the Florence Crittenton Programs of SC and the Mason Preparatory School Foundation.
