I became interested in photography in the 8th grade. Over the Christmas break I was allowed to take the school camera home with me to capture pictures of my family, friends, and other holiday events. I was hooked from that moment on... After high school I was able to afford my first real camera. I purchased a used Canon FT QL SLR Camera with a couple of lenses and filters and shot cityscapes, sunsets, nature, family pictures and more. It was a great camera for what I used it for. I was never really all that good at it, but I certainly enjoyed the process... Then came the world of digital photography. Unfortunately, I was not able to afford the latest and greatest gear so I sort of phased out of photography for many years. Then came the cell phone camera. I was hooked. I was able to take a picture on my phone!!! What a concept. I remember early on thinking to myself, "Why would anyone want to have a camera on their phone?" This technology led to me being able to take a daily picture..
