Jaxi has been working with children and families since 1989. After receiving her Masters degree in Clinical Social Work from Columbia University, she worked in the Pediatric Departments of both New York University Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital in New York where she counseled children and families struggling with various psychiatric diagnoses. In addition to her eight years at NYU and Bellevue, Jaxi attended a three-year psychoanalytic training program at the William Alanson White Institute. She received her certificate in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy in 2000. While working at NYU and Bellevue, Jaxi began treating children, adolescents and their families in her own private practice... Now, Jaxi's private practice is located in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. Guided by an interpersonal perspective, Jaxi practices psychoanalytically informed psychotherapy, as well as collaborative counseling and cognitive behavioral therapy.
