My practice depicts cultural heritage in the present with a focus on Design History in the everyday. I work on themed project in partnership with local communities and heritage professionals... The photography straddles a boundary between documentary and art. The images are constructed with a careful choice of content, framing and lighting to create an evocative image that captures a sense of place. Combining the photography with oral history and environmental sound I create short films... Maxine's art uses photography, oral history and environmental sound to depict cultural heritage in the present with a focus on design history in the everyday.
