The company was founded in 1984, formerly known as Zhejiang Ende Piano Co., Ltd. It is a joint venture (Hong Kong funded) enterprise - a state-owned enterprise. In 1997, the company was restructured into a private enterprise "Huzhou Huapu Piano Manufacturing Co., Ltd.", which is the fifth enterprise in China and the first professional piano manufacturing enterprise in Zhejiang Province.
