HONG KONG WHEELCHAIR AID SERVICE

Hong Kong Wheelchair Aid Service was founded by volunteers in 1997. Although Hong Kong is a rich and well-developed city, there are still many people who have not been sheltered by the existing welfare system. The wheelchair community, many of them are disabled or elderly, is our primary target thus we provide them a comprehensive range of services including on-site wheelchair repairing, household wheelchair accessories and case referral. Considering their financial constraints, our services are delivered at an affordable price... We registered Hong Kong Wheelchair Aid Service Limited and continued our services as a limited company. In the same year, we had established the wheelchair inspection team formed of a group of volunteers to perform regular inspection for wheelchairs users who is living in the elderly home... We have been a member of The Community Chest. This year, we started our powered wheelchair and multi-purpose wheelchair rental services.
