As an artist who loves painting as much as designing, I frequently bounce between the two. I find the same principles of graphic design apply to art. For me, the two work in tandem. In the studio I work mostly from my photographs as reference. I often use software programs to manipulate images creating the framework for paintings or digital artwork... Of painting, what can I say? My first love. Color… Prussian Blue… Magenta. Light and shadow. The smell of oil paint and linseed.
