HARDIN WOOD
Updated 25 days ago
When I was 12 years old I built my first piece of furniture with my Dad, pine shelves for my bedroom. I took woodshop classes from 7th to 12th grade and made several pieces of furniture. When I was 18 I moved out of the house and needed some furniture. So I began buying tools and making furniture for myself and friends. At 23 I found a garage to rent, quit my job, and supported myself for 3 years making custom furniture. Then I joined the Army to obtain money for business school. I spent two great years living in Germany. In 1988 I joined the California Highway Patrol and was badly injured, recovered and later managed CHP radio and 911 systems. I completed my business degree in 1990...
Fast forward to 2014. After working 25 years in the information technology industry, I am again pursuing my dream of making custom furniture and teaching people this amazing skill.
