ERIC AXEL - Founder, President
Eric Axel founded ECA Strategies in 2014 to provide clients with public
and government affairs strategies to navigate difficult federal and state regulatory environments. Eric's varied political background enables his clients to build long-lasting ties with many influential as well as newly elected Congressmen and Senators. In 2019, marshalling an unparalleled network and understanding of the Texas and Israeli business ecosystems, Eric launched a practice at ECA focused on the high-tech sector.
Prior to launching ECA, Eric spent five years serving as the Southwest Political Director for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). In this capacity, he built political fundraising networks throughout seven states in the Southwest Region, which included 64 Congressional districts and 14 Senate offices. His strong relationships with members of Congress and their staffs made him one of the most influential voices on issues of foreign policy.
Among other responsibilities, Eric conducted candidate meetings and obtained a position paper from every viable candidate in his seven- state region. During the 2010 and 2012 election cycles, which proved to be two of the most volatile in U.S. history, Eric successfully obtained a statement on targeted issues with every winning candidate prior to Election Day.
Prior to joining AIPAC, Eric worked with several organizations including the Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) where he held several prominent national roles. He was a key member of the RJC's effort to raise significant funds during the 2008 presidential election while organizing grassroots volunteers and coalitions across the country. Prior to the RJC, Eric worked with the American Society of the University of Haifa (Israel) in New York City, where he served on a team to rebrand and rebuild the University's American arm.
