Chalet Queenstown is a small boutique hotel located 5 minutes walk from the centre of Queenstown. With its superb views of the Remarkables, Lake Wakatipu and Queenstown Hill, Chalet Queenstown is the perfect location for your New Zealand holiday, whether you are skiing, snowboarding, jet boating, walking, dining, exploring or just relaxing... Chalet Queenstown was formerly known as Chalet Edelweiss, beginning operations in the 1960s. The owners of that time were Swiss and modified an existing dwelling by placing the Chalet upper level on it. In its time, Chalet Edelweiss was a popular place to stay and had some of the first ensuited bathrooms in Queenstown. Created at a time when tourism was at its infancy, guests from all over the world did, and continue to enjoy their stay. Fundamentally reorganised and refurbished in 2009, the Chalet offers contemporary lodgings with a warm environment.
