Kate Murphy - COO, Managing Director
Kate joined Horsley Bridge Partners in 2003 and is responsible for managing our firm's operations. Kate was previously the CFO at a venture-backed online investment adviser, and prior to that worked at Montgomery Asset Management. Kate started her professional career at Price Waterhouse in Boston and graduated from the University of Connecticut.
Kathryn joined Horsley Bridge Partners in 2003 and manages our firm's London office. Prior to HBP, Kathryn was Senior Vice President Investments with Claridge Inc., where she was involved with investments in media, technology, consumer and industrial companies as well as private equity fund investments. Kathryn started her professional career in asset management with Jarislowsky, Fraser in Montreal. She has a BA in History from the University of Calgary and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario.
Lance is a Managing Director at Horsley Bridge Partners, joining the firm in 2000. Previously, Lance was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company where he worked on strategic engagements for clients across a wide range of sectors, including technology, consumer goods, transportation, and energy. He holds an AB in Quantitative Economics from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Yi Sun - Managing Director

Yi is a Managing Director at Horsley Bridge Partners, joining the firm in 2008. Previously, he worked at Garnett & Helfrich Capital where he made technology investments, and at Ingres Corp, where he held various operating positions. Yi started his career as an attorney at Davis Polk & Wardwell. Yi holds a BS in Computer Science from Lafayette College, an MS in Computer Science from Stanford University, and joint JD/MBA degrees from Harvard Law and Business Schools.
