I am an accountant with twenty four years of experience providing accounting services to local companies. I have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Michigan State University (1995) and a MBA from Grand Valley State University (2003)... To summarize my experience, I began working as a staff accountant where I worked on individual taxes and prepared monthly financial statements. After two and a half years, I transitioned into the manufacturing industry where I have accumulated most of my experience. I started in the manufacturing world by working for a company that made stainless steel castings for five and a half years. In this role, I learned to wear many hats from financial statement and budget preparation to implementing a custom built MRP software system. Sound credit procedures were put in place and an improvement in inventory procedures and accuracy was achieved.
