Dr. Suarez is board certified in Internal Medicine and has a passion for Primary Care dedicated to the geriatric population. She has been practicing medicine for over 36 years and graduated from the Federico Villarreal National University in 1983 with a Physician and Surgeon Degree and there after attending New York Medical College for 6 years. She prides herself on providing quality care and aims to partner with her patients in achieving their optimal health goals. Dr. Suarez practices her blend of medicine at the Senior Medical Associates Deerfield Beach location.
Dr Lee Brown has over 30 years of Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine experience. He was born and raised in a military Air Force family and grew up on the white sand beaches of Panama City, Florida, on Tyndall Air Force Base. Dr Brown has been a member of the Boy Scouts of America since age 8, and only recently retired as an Assistant Scout Master. He is the father of two grown teenagers. Dr Brown can relate to the patients who have moved from up north, to sunny Florida, because part of his medical education included living in Queens, New York, training at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine. Dr Brown's past experiences include working with the federal Indian Health Service on Native American Indian reservations from California, Arizona, Oklahoma, to Minnesota. He looks forward to providing the quality care that you deserve.
Dr. Maria Alejandra Jaimes was born in Columbia. It is here that her journey into medicine began. She received her medical education from the Universidad de Cartagena and gained valuable experience working at the Cartagena University and Napoleon Franco Hospitals. She then moved to California to complete her Post Graduate Medical Education and Residency at the Sierra Vista Family Medicine Program. Over the years, Dr. Jaimes has dedicated her time to giving back and takes great pride in helping the underprivileged. She is fluent in English and Spanish and looks forward to gaining your trust in her ability to provide the care you deserve!
Dr. Rodolfo Herrera is originally from Cuba. His medical studies began in his home country at the University of Santiago de Cuba. He completed medical school here and then went on to complete his Residency in Family Medicine in Holguin, Cuba. He has spent time working in Puerto Rico and Venezuela in hospitals as a family practitioner and in rural areas for those in need. Upon moving to South Florida, Dr. Herrera began working at the Cleveland Clinic. Over his career he has worked in family medicine, anesthesiology, emergency care and urgent care He is a skilled and tested Primary Care Physician. Dr. Herrera believes in quality medicine and has created workshops and worked on leadership committees that aimed to enhance patient care. Dr. Aiken is Board certified in Internal Medicine, trained at the University of Miami School of Medicine and Jackson Memorial Hospital. Since 2013, he has exclusively focused his practice on caring for the geriatric population. His philosophy for practicing medicine are as follows:
You deserve to be seen in a timely fashion. Being a former Air Force Airman, Dr. Aiken strives to respect the time of his patients. He believes if you have an appointment at 8:30 am, you should be seen at least by 8:35 am.
You deserve the option of a healthy-lifestyle first before getting a pill. In many cases such as new onset diabetes, Dr. Aiken believes that lifestyle changes are far more powerful than a prescription. Therefore, he focuses his practice on teaching his patients how to manage or even cure their diabetes by making strategic changes in their diet and physical activity.
Your voice should be heard first. Dr. Aiken believes that he should use his ears first by dedicating the initial few minutes of every visit to listen to his patients' concerns. Hence, before he asks you a question, he will give you the floor to talk about your concerns.
You deserve to get proactive medical care. Dr. Aiken believes that each of his patients should be treated like the president when it comes to their medical care. That is why he created a system to ensure each patient's chart is reviewed four times prior to each scheduled visit. Thus, this allows him to increase the probability that small and large problems will get spotted and addressed much earlier.
You deserve a kind and attentive staff. Both Senior Medical and Dr. Aiken work closely with the staff to ensure that each patient is treated with kindness and patience.
You deserve prompt notification for all imaging done. Dr. Aiken believes that if you have completed a lab, imaging or any other studies; you should be informed of the results promptly.
You deserve to be called back the same day. If you call Dr. Aiken's office with a question, he will always make the effort to call back between his schedule patients or at least by the end of that day.
You are not only a patient but a human with a story. Dr. Aiken tries to treat each of his patients like the precious gem they are. He will listen to your stories, celebrate your birthday, and dance occasionally with you to their favorite songs. He agrees that laughter is therapeutic and will share a laugh or two when appropriate.

He currently has many patients in the 90's who are traveling the world, some writing books, and others basking in the joy of seeing their great grandchildren grow up. That is why he is on a quest to find the best recipe of lifestyle changes, traditional medicine, or alternative medicine to give each of his patients the best shot of longevity.
