The first Samya Spa was established at a resort on Salt Spring Island, where the founders began offering Ayurveda services in 2002, making it the first Ayurvedic destination spa in Canada. In 2006, Samya Ayurveda was recognized by the National Ayurvedic Medical Association at one of their first conferences and Samya Ayurveda began providing Ayurveda training and a line of herbal and beauty products.
