VACEK - Key Persons
Garry Vacek was born in Sugar Land, Texas and grew up in Bellville, Texas. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas in 1968 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from St. Mary's University in 1974.
Garry is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in the area of Estate Planning and Probate Law and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Garry is admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the American Bar Association, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accounts, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is a member of the Downtown Austin Rotary Club and Treasurer of the Texas Interscholastic League Foundation.
Garry's practice consists of estate planning, probate and tax planning, which more specifically includes:
Designing and implementing wealth succession plans including Family Limited Partnerships and Wills including generation-skipping and credit shelter trusts to minimize estate and GST taxes.
Determination of choice of entities and formation of corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies and series limited liability companies.
Preparation of income tax, estate and gift tax returns for individuals, trusts, estates and other entities.
Garry and his wife, Debbie, have three children, Wayne, Angela and Stephen. They are great supporters of UT athletics and enjoy traveling.

Greg is a partner at Vacek, Kiecke & Colmenero, LLP. Greg's practice is focused on estate planning, family wealth transfer, complex estate administration, and fiduciary litigation. In addition, Greg is a CPA who prepares income tax returns for individuals and entities and handles tax controversies before the IRS.
Jenna grew up in Norman, Oklahoma, and then attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she studied Finance at the McCombs School of Business. After graduating from UT with honors, she attended law school at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. At SMU, she was an editor of The International Lawyer Law Review and was first in her class to be published. After graduating, she practiced Insurance Defense, Insurance Coverage, and Litigation at 3 large firms, then moved back to Austin in 2000. She was a solo practitioner for several years, then left the practice of law to start her own European wine importing business, which she owned and operated for nearly 12 years, becoming an expert at wine, the business of wine and entrepreneurship, and international travel.
She is now happily back to practicing law as Senior Associate Attorney at Vacek, Kiecke & Colmenero, where she practices Business Entity Formation, Estate Planning and Probate, Real Estate, and general business matters.
Jenna is a mother of two children, published cookbook author, and singer with The Bar & Grill Singers, a legal parody acapella group that performs for lawyers all over the country.

Justin's practice focuses on federal income taxation, with particular emphasis in the areas of entity formation and structuring, business, real estate, finance, corporate, and commercial transactions. He has experience representing and working with:
Business owners in entity formation, business planning, raising capital in compliance with Regulation D of the federal securities law, and dissolutions
Buyers and sellers in business and asset purchase and sale transactions, stock purchase and sale transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial real estate transactions
Landlords and tenants in commercial leasing matters
Real estate developers in land acquisition, financing, and development
Mr. Roberts also has experience in commercial law as well as estate planning and probate matters.

Shaye grew up in Gilmer, Texas and went to Texas A&M in College Station where she received both a B.B.A. in Accounting and a Master's of Science in Marketing.
Upon graduating Shaye began her career as Saville, Dodgen, & Co. a CPA firm in the DFW area. While at Saville, Shaye practiced primarily in corporate, partnership, individual, and trust taxation. After finishing her time with Saville, Shaye went to law school at the University of Texas at Austin where she served as the Chair for the Board of Advocates and Treasurer of the Domestic Violence Support Network.
After graduating from UT, Shaye began her career at Vacek, Kiecke & Colmenero, LLP. where she assists clients in estate planning, preparation of wills and various lifetime documents, and probating their estates. In addition to her legal work Shaye heads the tax department of VKC which handles a whole host of tax matters ranging from IRS audits, non-profits, family limited partnerships, and the preparation of entity, individual, and estate tax returns.
