Meet DLD founder Dennis Day, a seasoned CPA with a bachelor's degree in accounting (with honors) and a minor in business information systems from the University of Southern Mississippi. His financial management skills have been honed across diverse industries, including banking, healthcare, and hospitality.
Dennis earned his reputation as the go-to person for making software work seamlessly for clients, driven by his passion for helping users maximize their software experience. This led Dennis to team up with a Microsoft Gold partner to oversee its GP practice and later founded DLD.
Meet John, VP of Finance, and accomplished accounting expert at DLD. With a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting (with honors) from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, John practiced 24 years as a CPA in public accounting with a large regional accounting firm prior to joining the DLD team. Since 2017, John has excelled in accounting software consulting, specializing in Microsoft Dynamics GP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, and various third-party software solutions.
At DLD, John leads by example, helping team members however he can and ensuring clients achieve their project goals with meticulous attention to detail. He's an enthusiastic learner, always exploring the latest productivity features in ERP systems and sharing his discoveries with others.
When John isn't wearing his accounting hat, you'll find him enjoying quality time with his family and their lovable Golden Doodle, Bailey, who also happens to be DLD's mascot. He dedicates his time to community service, making a difference through Perimeter Civitan for over 18 years, from building wheelchair ramps to raising food donations for the local food bank.
John will say that the best advice he has ever received is knowing when to ask for help. With a passion for continuous learning and having fun discovering new tips and tricks to automate work, John believes in excelling at work while enjoying life's journey.
