Brandon is a highly skilled Project Architect with experience designing and delivering a significant body of work. He has led multiple teams through large, multi-phase projects including the new Parc Mosaic Apartment Homes in Boulder, Colorado Center Tower Three and Colorado Center Residential. Brandon has also led the design and execution of several private residences.
Brandon approaches each project with an equal focus on and aptitude for conceptual design, technical production and constructability. He brings a keen design eye into construction details and ensures successful execution at the highest level in the field, making him invaluable to clients and colleagues through every phase of a project.
Brent Bartels, AIA develops creative processes that allow for deep investigations of place, resulting in clear and effective formal translations. Brent's studies in the field of Urban and Regional planning influence his ability to consider the interrelation of the building, community, city and end-user in relation to one another with ease and flexibility. With a focus on quality, craft and collaboration, Brent brings creative, rigorous thinking and a willingness to test conventional approaches to developing the built environment. Over his 20+-year career in the Denver area, he has delivered a wide array of project types.

With his knowledge of sustainability and building systems, he is establishing best practices for deepening the integration of sustainability across the firm's guiding design principles and benchmarking our work against industry standards, such as the AIA COTE Top Ten Measures.

The Founding Principal of our multi-disciplinary studio, David's passion for cities directs the work of Tryba Architects. He is involved in each of the firm's projects and excels at leading talented designers towards solutions that are in the best interest of the client, the community and the project. David's entrepreneurial spirit directs the firm's commitment to the development and transformation of urban neighborhoods, buildings, sites and systems into active, human-scaled and successful places.
David possesses a deep understanding of the evolution of cities-past, present and future-and has completed projects across North America. His design is driven by a critical awareness of the social and economic value of place making, a fundamental belief in the integration of architecture and landscape, and a firm and resolute commitment to city building and civic craft.

Since joining the Tryba team in 2018, Elizabeth has worked on some of the firm's largest, most intricate interior design projects including The Benson Hotel and Faculty Club, The Fremont Residences, Google Boulder Campus, preservation and repositioning of The Vault, numerous multi-family projects and several large-scale amenity and event centers and lobbies. Elizabeth brings a passion for enriching quality of life through evidence-based design. She specializes in hospitality and multi-family residential interiors in addition to several years' experience designing spaces for corporate office and boutique healthcare use. Elizabeth stands out for her attention to detail, focus and motivation to create beautiful and welcoming spaces that push the boundaries of design.
Emmett has nearly 20 years of experience as an Architect and Project Manager leading teams on complex multi-phase projects such as Colorado Center, Denver Rock Drill, Firestone and Robertson Distillery, and a new high-rise multi-family project in Colorado Springs. He is focused on facilitating the design process through clear communication and technical expertise and possesses a comprehensive knowledge of design technology and systems. Emmett excels in project team leadership, consultant coordination and managing projects through complex entitlements.
Eric joined Tryba Architects with over a decade of exceptional technical expertise and is a valued asset to our clients and projects. His vast array of multi-disciplinary experience includes highly detailed design coordination for such projects as Dickies Arena, three-story storm (tornado) shelter design for educational facilities in Texas, Jonesboro St. Bernards surgical tower, Disney World Coronado Springs Resort - Gran Destino Tower, and historic adaptive reuse office conversions. Eric has a knack for mentoring and growing the next generation, and embodies the whole architect model.
James joined Tryba Architects following nearly two decades of experience in tax, audit, financial management and forecasting for entrepreneurs. James's skills in market forecasting, cash flow analysis and tax management drive the firm's fiscal efficiency, stability, and strategic business plan. James financial services experience contributes directly to our business communication strategies and allows the firm to provide a variety of development focused financial tools for clients across the life of a project.
The volatility of real estate values, financial markets and labor and material costs constantly impacts the business of architecture. James's expertise not only assures the firm's stability, but also makes a substantial contribution to the client's bottom line. His expertise is responsible for the firm earning the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce's Small Business of the Year award, the first time the honor has been awarded to a design firm.
Jeff Poorten, AIA joined the firm over 10 years ago and has successfully designed and delivered a significant body of work with an equal focus on and aptitude for project administration, documentation and design. His experience spans a range of public and private projects, with an emphasis on adaptive reuse and complex restorations. Throughout his career at Tryba, Jeff has been an invaluable member of the design team for many of the firm's significant projects, including Denver Botanic Gardens, History Colorado Center, Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center and 21 Fitzsimons retail.

Jeremy has been with Tryba Architects since 1999 and has served as the project architect for a number of the firm's most complex projects including Denver Union Station, Google Boulder Campus, Denver Botanic Gardens, the Cesar Chavez Memorial Building and Clayton Lane.
Jeremy is an expert in Construction Administration and specializes in the critical role of shepherding project designs through the construction process. He is an exceptional collaborator and has earned the trust and respect of the consultant teams and general contractors he works with daily. He is adept at documentation production and detailing and is an important member of our quality assurance and control team. Jeremy provides an invaluable technical resource for teams within the office and brings his problem-solving, communication and leadership skills to every project in which he is involved.

Kathleen leads our Urban Design Studio and is an Urban Designer and Architect with 17 years of national and international practice experience. Her urban design and development efforts focus on balancing transportation, natural resources and sustainable urban growth with the economic demands of the marketplace. Kathleen has led planning, urban design and entitlement efforts for Denver International Airport, the Washington Street Corridor, Fox North, and the Fitzsimons Innovation Community.
Kathleen excels at the resolution of difficult urban issues and her collaborative management skills ensure effective and efficient delivery for a range of large scale and visionary projects. Kathleen's focus on a strong vision, principle led design and clear communication enables her to effectively build consensus and momentum for complex urban projects involving multiple stakeholder groups.
Leah joined Tryba Architects 20 years ago. In her role as Project Architect she focuses on historic adaptive reuse, sustainability, mixed-use development, and civic and cultural work. She is an experienced Project Architect, adept at technical documentation and Construction Administration (CA). She has directed Tryba's CA teams on several of the firm's largest and most complex projects, including Denver Union Station and History Colorado Center.
Leah excels at building strong and collaborative relationships with consultants and contractors. Her knowledge, character, and management skills are respected both in the office and on site. Leah's focus on precision and office standards in project documentation are critical to delivering projects with an exemplary level of craft and detail.

Leslie is a Registered Interior Designer with over 13 years' experience specializing in corporate interiors and workplace design. Since relocating from Houston to join Tryba Architects in 2015, Leslie has been an integral part of nearly all of the firm's workplace interior design projects including Google Boulder Campus; Davis Graham & Stubbs; the national award-winning GoSpotCheck Headquarters; and BCG headquarters in Detroit, Chicago, Denver, and Austin. In addition to her strong background working with large, multi-dimensional companies with complex workplace requirements, Leslie is adept at developing interior design and FE&E standards for a variety of project types.
Since joining the firm in 2015, Megan Burke, AIA has successfully completed a wide variety of projects, from residential renovations to large, mixed-use developments. Megan's expertise in design and construction technologies allows her to translate well-crafted design concepts into reality. She has worked on some of the firm's most significant projects, including the new Parc Mosaic Apartment Homes in Boulder.

Sarah is an Urban Designer and Architect with national experience in master planning, urban design, architecture and project management. She enjoys the challenge of complex projects and the ability of design to transform and create memorable, meaningful places for people to live, work and play. With experience in campus, cultural, transportation and neighborhood planning, Sarah brings a keen understanding of urban sites, sustainability and multi-modal strategies to her projects. A scheduling and management specialist, Sarah excels in helping clients distill and prioritize their project goals during initial programming and planning.
Sarah enjoys being involved in the local design community. She served for two years on the Seattle Planning Commission and is currently a member of the Arapahoe Square Design Advisory Board in Denver. She is actively engaged in the Urban Land Institute both locally and nationally, and was honored with ULI Colorado's Rising Star Award in 2017.
Scott brings over 40 years of design, management and technical production oversight to nearly every large project the firm delivers. His significant experience with retail and municipal projects has allowed Scott to manage the firm's largest and most complex projects to successful on-time and on-budget completions. Scott leads Tryba's quality control program and his deep understanding of technical detailing and specifications make him a resource for project teams across the office. Scott also mentors the firm's intern development program, a role which he describes as "working with the best group of young architects in town."
Scott's greatest attribute is his ability to build strong and collaborative relationships with project teams, clients, general contractors, consultants and City staff. His critical focus on the importance of effective partnerships leading to project success and his ability to mentor and pass his knowledge and skills on to future generations of architects make him an invaluable member of the Tryba team.
Shannon is passionate about creating purposeful, meaningful places that engage and inspire. She brings nearly two decades of experience in workplace, retail, repositioning and educational design, with a strong focus on client relationships. Her portfolio includes Fort Worth ISD's new headquarters and educational facilities; Irving's Toyota Music Factory; and renovations to Dallas' iconic Reunion Tower, Thanksgiving Tower, and Parkside Tower.
A lifelong Texan with degrees from UT-Arlington and Texas A&M, Shannon is thrilled to be raising a family and working in Fort Worth. She is dedicated to focusing on further enriching and enhancing the region's built environment through partnerships with like-minded organizations and serving at the highest level.
Based in Dallas, Taylor is actively supporting Tryba Architects' rapid growth in North Texas. He brings over 15 years of experience as an architect in Dallas, specializing in the retail, financial services, corporate campus and higher education sectors. Taylor excels at managing multiple projects and teams and fostering strong client relationships while guiding complex projects from conceptualization through construction. His experience in both core/shell and interior architecture allows for a truly holistic building design and construction experience.
Taylor is among Texas's foremost thought leaders in the use of mass timber, having led the design and construction of the first mass timber building in the state. Taylor is passionate about developing the next generation of architects and designers and strongly believes in instilling the importance of implementing sustainable efforts into projects at all scales.

Todd Britton, Model Builder brings decades of service to the architectural profession and the creation of the built environment. Since joining the firm in 2015, Todd's remarkable talent in model building and carpentry have been instrumental in our design studio. He has been involved in the creation of numerous local landmarks including the Colorado Center Master Plan, Google Boulder Campus, Fitzsimons Master Plan and Fox Park Master Plan.

Tommy leads the Design Communications studio at Tryba. Tommy joined us in 2013 after relocating from New York City where he spent six years with the exhibit design team at Ralph Appelbaum Associates, the world's largest museum exhibition design firm. An award-winning environmental graphic designer, he develops and implements comprehensive graphic design programs for interpretive exhibits, wayfinding, branding and communication. Tommy's work at Tryba has transformed our project presentation and delivery methods facilitating an exemplary level of clarity and elegance in our graphic communication. Under Tommy's leadership, the studio has produced comprehensive branding and marketing strategies for projects such as Fox North, Denver Rock Drill and the Fitzsimons Innovation Campus.

Bill also volunteers to aid various local organizations in their efforts to promote smart growth initiatives and the rehabilitation of historic structures.
