TOVERVELD

The Nguni originated more than 8000 years ago in North Africa and migrated over centuries South and possibly arrived in South Africa 600 AD. The Toverveld Nguni Stud was established in 1997 and is farmed on two farms ie De Dam and Middelwater, 60 km East of Colesberg. Currently the stud has a core of 140 breeding cows. Our cattle will be on sale at the National Nguni Auction in Bloemfontein on Wednesday, 17 October 2018... Our approach to veld management is to work with nature and not against it. The long term strategy aims to improve the veld by increasing the vegetation density as well as to establish vegetation with well-developed root system as to improve the quality of vegetation... Our Anglo Arabian horse herd was established in 2000 with the well-known dr. Gavin Rous as partner. We aim specifically to breed horses for sport riding purposes.
