The Spotsylvania Education Foundation is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization, with a mission to enhance the quality and impact of student learning experiences in Spotsylvania County Public Schools... In 2006, the Spotsylvania Education Foundation held its first board meeting; revitalizing the organization formerly known as Spotsylvania Futures. The first set of IDEA Grants for innovative educational activities that engage students was awarded in 2007. The Dr. Jerry Hill Leadership Endowment was formed in 2011 to provide a yearly teacher scholarship focused on enhancing educational leadership. In 2012, the foundation further expanded its grant making by awarding SEED grants to teachers and staff for professional development activities... Since 2015, the Spotsylvania Education Foundation has provided over $138,000 in funding to strengthen instruction through innovative projects and professional development.
