LOYOLA COLLEGE, BOPITIYA

Loyola College, Bopitiya, was officially started at the church premises of St. Nicholas church on 15th January 2003. This was a collective effort of the Archdiocese of Colombo and T.O.R. Franciscans. It was also culmination of the long waited dream of most Rev. Dr. Oswald Gomis the Arch bishop of Colombo and very Rev. Fr. Neville Fernando T.O.R. the minister provincial of the T.O.R. Franciscans... Loyola College, Bopitiya, was started with the purpose of giving catholic education to the students of costlal belt. This is the only catholic school in the educational zone of Ja-ela. The age of college is only ten years. But she maintains her standard as the most popular school of the area... Aiming at integral education of body, mind and spirit through leadership and service.
