The Ephrata Community Ambulance Association is committed to providing emergency and routine medical transportation services to the Ephrata area... The ECAA provides emergency medical services at the Basic Life Support level (BLS) and the Intermediate Advanced Life Support (iALS) level. We are dispatched by the Lancaster County Wide Communications Center which utilizes an enhanced 911 system. The primary response territory for ECAA totals approximately 23 square miles and has about 35,000 residents. It includes all of Ephrata Borough, Akron Borough and portions of Ephrata Township, Clay Township, West Cocalico Township, West Earl Township and Earl Township. Our EMS service utilizes three BLS ambulances. As of April 2024, one ambulance can be used as an iALS truck.
