HINMICO

The objective of the HINMICO project is the development and optimization of manufacturing processes for the mass production of multi-material functional miniaturised components by the integration of high-throughput replication (over-moulding/in-mould assembly/packaging ) processes including high precision handling and on-line monitoring and product on-line quality control technologies , and back-end processes, for cost effective manufacturing of high added value products for applications within health, communications, audio equipment and automotive (non-silicon microsystems and micro/nano-structured components). The aim is to reduce manufacturing costs up to 40%. Thus, the HINMICO project final outcome will enable to produce high quality multi-material micro-components, with the possibility of additional, functionalities, through more integrated, efficient and cheaper process chains.
