Andover is a growing community with a population over 15,000 that encompasses a land area of about 11 square miles. The City of Andover was established in 1957, after being founded in 1880 and originally called "Cloud City."... After a historic F5 tornado swept away entire neighborhoods and left thousands without their homes on April 26, 1991, members of the community came together to rebuild their town from the ground up. Streets, sewers, and water lines were all updated, laying the groundwork for new development. Andover began to draw in those who wanted to be a part of a community with a small-town feel while not being too far from the hustle and bustle of the "big city."
