THE UNIQUE SPOOL has been a fabric and pattern mail order company since 1992, originally based in California before moving to Idaho in 2005. Many years, we were fortunate to participate at various quilt and craft shows mainly in the Western US. You may have visited the booth in Paducah KY and Houston TX. Owned by Roberta Dent, the early focus for the company was unique African fabrics and patterns, including the beautiful designs of handmade mud cloth from Mali. In 1998, we diversified to include fabrics from the Pacific Rim... We offer unusual jewelry, beads, dolls, buttons along with needles, quilting frames and wood and leather animals... Clearance discounts are pretty deep, 40-75% on most items. We are working on closing our run of about 27 years. It has been loads of fun over the years.
