Before joining Rinat in August 2021, Rabbi Chaim Strauchler served as Senior Rabbi at Shaarei Shomayim Congregation in Toronto since 2008. Before that, he served as Rabbi at Beit Chaverim Synagogue in Westport, Connecticut from 2005- 2008. Rabbi Strauchler is an associate editor of Tradition: A Journal of Orthodox Jewish Thought and is currently a vice-president of the Rabbinical Council of America.
Rabbi Chaim Strauchler grew up in West Orange, NJ and attended JEC. He studied for three years under Rav Aharon Lichtenstein, zt"l, at Yeshivat Har Etzion and received his Bachelors in English Literature from Yeshiva College. Rabbi Strauchler received Semicha from RIETS, where he studied extensively under Rabbi Michael Rosensweig. He earned a Diploma in Theology and a Master's Degree in Religious Studies from Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar. He also holds a Master's Degree in Biblical Studies from Bernard Revel Graduate School and is a Wexner Graduate Fellowship alumnus. As a student, Rabbi Strauchler founded the literary journal, Mima'amakim. Rabbi Strauchler is married to Avital Strauchler, who grew up in Edison, NJ. They have five children: Tehilla, Adir, Atara, Zvi, and Freda.

Rabbi Chayim Gerson joins us from Congregation Israel of Springfield where he has served as the Assistant Rabbi and Youth Director since 2021. At Congregation Israel, Rabbi Gerson created dynamic programming and fostered learning opportunities and points of connection for all ages and backgrounds.
Rabbi Gerson holds a BA in Psychology from Yeshiva College, an MA in Jewish Education from Azrieli Graduate School, and received Semicha from RIETS in 2019. Rabbi Gerson studied extensively under Rabbi Baruch Simon and Rabbi Eliakim Koenigsberg, and studied for four years in the Katz Kollel of RIETS. Additionally, Rabbi Gerson was part of the newly-formed REITS-Frisch Kollel from 2019-2020.
Rabbi Gerson has taught Chumash, Halacha, Machshava and Gemara, and founded the Shorashim program for students from non-Yeshiva backgrounds at RKYHS. He currently teaches Halacha, Chassidus and Jewish History at Bruriah High School.
Rabbi Gerson is a warm, inspiring and driven speaker, educator and listener. He seeks to construct and engage genuine connection with Hashem through Talmud Torah, Tefillah, and healthy relationships, and in turn, is constantly roused by those around him to further his own Torah v'Avodah.

Originally from Chicago, R' Dov Levinson now lives in Teaneck with his wife Allie and son Elisha. R' Levinson has been teaching Middle School Gemara and Chumash at the Moriah School for the past five years along with being the Director of Student Activities. He has worked for Yachad in various roles over the past 10+ years with a focus on informal education and communal engagement. R' Levinson holds a Masters in Education and is in the final stages of completing his Doctorate in Education as well as Rabbinic Semicha. R' Levinson is looking forward to being part of the Rinat family and creating an inspirational, exciting, and enjoyable teen minyan experience. Rabbi Ezra and Adina Wiener, made Aliya in the summer of 2024 after 25+ years of living in Teaneck and ten years serving as assistant rabbi and rebbetzin of Rinat. Rabbi Wiener is currently working as a Rebbe in Yeshivat Mevaseret and is continuing his relationship with many Rinat members through teaching Torah remotely. Rabbi Wiener gives a weekly parsha shiur and Choshen Mishpat halacha shiur on Zoom and continues his WhatsApp shiurim for the Mishna Yomit and Daf Hashavua programs.
