Darlene Leiss

  • Directo R of Operations / Owner
Darlene is the owner of KDIX and directs it's operation. She has been around the radio industry and served, on and off, in a variety of capacities since 1963- that's 60 years and counting. In addition to KDIX, Darlene was a co-owner of KDRG in Deer Lodge, Montana. Lee Leiss, her late husband, was a co-owner with Darlene of both KDIX and KDRG. Darlene collaborates and consults with her veteran and experienced staff to keep KDIX humming along and serving Dickinson and Southwest North Dakota. Darlene has three adult children, six grandchildren and will soon have a great grandchild.

Jackie Martin

Job Titles:
  • Sales & Bookkeeper / Clerk
Jackie is native of Southwest ND; she grew up in Gladstone and graduated from Dickinson High School in 1971. After high school she began her long career of service with the Dickinson Police Department. After thirty-two years on the force, she retired in 2004. After her law enforcement service she began working at KDIX in sales. She now has almost twenty years of sales and marketing experience.

Jim Dahl

Job Titles:
  • Business Manager, Assistant Sports Director
Jim was born and raised in Dickinson. He graduated from Dickinson High School and then attended Dickinson State University where he earned two bachelor's degrees. He began his broadcasting career at KDIX in August of 1986.

Mike Renner

Job Titles:
  • Sales Manager
Mike started at KDIX in the spring of 2000 and quickly grew into a key employee because of his versatility and positive attitude. He currently serves as sales manager/farm director. He grew up on a farm near Richardton; the knowledge he gained on the family farm benefits him in his duties as Farm Director and related rodeo reporting. Mike has received numerous local honors and service awards.

Rod Kleinjan

Job Titles:
  • Program Director
Rod was born Elgin, North Dakota, attended school in Mott and graduated from Mott High School in 1972. He then began in radio broadcasting career at KBJM in Lemmon, South Dakota in 1972. Rod then attended Dickinson State College in 1973 & 74 prior to starting at KDIX Radio and Television in 1974 as the News and Sports Director.
