Stephanie Sanchez Olaya

Job Titles:
  • Enrollment Platform Project Manager at City of Boston - Office of Early Childhood
I am a mother of two young children who aims for an equitable and fairer world for all. My passion for equity goes back to my childhood years in my native Peru. Throughout my life, I have witnessed the many ways in which individuals from marginalized and at-risk communities face systemic barriers and discrimination, preventing them from accessing opportunities and realizing their full potential. I welcomed my first child in 2014 shortly after immigrating to the United States. The need to understand how to best support my children sent me back to academia. As a result, I have dedicated my career to advocating for communities, particularly for children. I firmly believe that parents have the power to raise resilient children who can overcome adversity and thrive, despite the many challenges they may face. My work focuses on empowering parents and caregivers with the knowledge, tools, and resources they need to support their children's development, growth, and success. I believe that by uplifting families, we can uplift entire communities, breaking down barriers and creating a more equitable and inclusive society for all. As a fearless advocate for children, I have worked tirelessly to address the root causes of inequality, working with community organizations, schools, and policymakers to promote systemic change. I am deeply committed to social justice and believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to live a fulfilling, happy, and prosperous life, regardless of their background or circumstances.
