HUMANE SOCIETY

Founded in 1973, the Humane Society of Cowlitz County has a long tradition of caring for the animals of Cowlitz County. By working in collaboration with nearby shelters, local veterinarians, animal rescue groups and compassionate members of the community, the Humane Society is dedicated to seeking loving homes for thousands of homeless, neglected and abused animals every year... Through the work of around 25 full and part-time staff, along with the assistance of compassionate volunteers, the Humane Society offers an array of services to our community, including animal sheltering, pet adoptions, cat spay neuter assistance, community education, and outreach... Through the generous support from our community members and local partners, the Humane Society works to provide quality services for our community while working to decrease euthanasia rates, increase awareness, and promote responsible pet ownership.
