Dustin Mulvaney

Sheila, founder of the Solar Scorecard Project, provides more than 25 years of advocacy, research and policy development in the field of sustainable electronics. Sheila, formerly SVTC's executive director, spearheaded passage of the first U.S. electronics recycling legislation in the nation and has led investigations into e-waste dumping in India and the use of US prison labor in electronic recycling. Sheila holds a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and serves as a research analyst and community economic development specialist. Dustin is Professor of Environmental Studies at California State University-San Jose. His research focuses on governance of emerging technologies in food and energy systems. He is the author of Solar Power: Innovation, Sustainability, and Environmental Justice(Oakland, University of California Press) and Sustainable Energy Strategies: Socio-Ecological Dimensions of Decarbonization(London, Palgrave MacMillan). Dustin's leadership and expertise in the area of photovoltaic socio-ecological life cycle impacts helped launch the SVTC's Solar Scorecard. Dustin holds a PhD in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz, a Master of Science in Environmental Policy, and a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering.
