NORDICENGINEERS

We support the professional development and work-life balance of engineers. We engage with policymakers at Nordic and EU levels, to promote STEM education, close the STEM skills gap and advocate for lifelong learning opportunities. We also address the risks of limitless work, by shifting responsibilities to employers, unions, and legislators... We promote the use of technology for societal good. Engineers have a key role in creating and applying responsible tech, but they need support, guidance, and governance from others. We advocate for an increased focus on distributed responsibility to protect the developers and for collaborative safe spaces, where innovation can spur responsibly... Nordic Civ constitutes an independent platform for cooperation between Nordic Civ's members, the Nordic Council of Ministers, the Nordic Council and other key players in Nordic cooperation. Through this network, ANE brings the voice of engineers to discussions concerning civil society in the Nordics.
