NEW HORIZONS

New Horizons Academy was founded in 1974 by Dr. Theresa Smith, an educational pioneer, leader, and advocate for children with learning differences. Dr. Smith overcame her own learning challenges to earn her doctorate when she was in her 50s ultimately. She worked at New Horizons Center for Learning well into her 80s until she passed away in January of 2008... New Horizons Academy has served the Las Vegas community since 1974. We provide a unique and personalized instructional setting for grades K-12. New Horizons Academy also provides a ‘Judgement Free Zone' where children can flourish in and out of the classroom... New Horizons Academy provides a ‘Judgement Free Zone' for students who do not feel comfortable in a traditional learning environment.
