Nurse Practitioner Corina has experience working with many of our Wairarapa Whanau
Amanda has been working with us for a number of years and is part of our Kowhai 1 team.
Chris is a NZ trained GP who has previously worked in Wellington and Hamilton and has relocated to the Wairarapa to be closer to family. He has worked in the skin cancer field for a number of years and also has an interest in Urgent Care.
Erin works between our Youth Clinic in Chapel St and our marae based clinic at Te Rangimarie Marae in Cole St.
Georgina is a registrar in the GP Education Training Program with the College of GPs.
Gerard lives in Wellington but continues to work with us once a week, alternating virtual and in person clinics.
Jack comes to us from the United Kingdom and has strong family ties to New Zealand.
Coming from the United States, John is an Urgent Care Physician.
John trained in the UK (St Andrews and Manchester), qualifying in 1991. He worked in NZ as a junior doctor from 1993 - 1995 (including 3 months as a House Surgeon at Masterton Hospital).
He returned to Scotland to complete his GP training and, after a brief spell working in rural South Africa, he was a partner in a large GP practice just outside Edinburgh, until the end of 2011.
He enjoys the wide variety that comes when working in general practice, and has a special interest in dementia. He brings to NZ a wife and 4 children, and loves almost any sport. He is never happier than when whacking a tennis ball or strumming a few tunes on his guitar.
John has been with Masterton Medical since 2013 and has a special interest in Palliative Care.
Karl spent a few years working as a hospital doctor prior to entering the GP training program. After completing his first year Registrar training with us he has decided to stay on.
Mark is an Urgent Care Physician from the USA who is with us for 6 months assisting in our Urgent Care Clinic.
Matt's approach to life is lighthearted but he takes medicine very seriously.
Originally from the Waikato, Matt graduated from Otago University, gained a Diploma in Obstetrics, before arriving in Masterton in the early 1990s.
With 30 per cent of his general practice involving occupational health, Matt spends a lot of his time consulting with staff and management in the work and factory environment. He also works as a police medical officer.
As a busy doctor, and father of six, Matt has little time for much else except gardening in his five acre section.
Matt has been with Masterton Medical since it started in 2002. He has a special interest in Occupational Health.
Nick came to us as a GP Registrar and decided to stay, he is still in the GP training program.
Niharika is a Canadian born locum GP who has previously been working in the USA.
Nikhil came to us from Rotorua and is currently in the GP training program.
Rebecca is an experienced GP who joins us from the USA. She has a special interest in youth and women's health.
Ruben is an experienced GP from Spain who intends to make NZ his home along with his wife Sabina who also works for us.
Sabina joins us from Spain, where she specialised in family and community medicine.
Sally returned to Masterton and has now been with us for a number of years. She has made Masterton her home and is one of our GP owners. She has a special interest in Diabetes and Children's Health.
Susan has been with Masterton Medical since 2013. She has a special interest in Youth Health.
Although Tony was born in Invercargill he was raised in Upper Hutt so he almost considers himself a local.
Following an academic history which included a Masters of Science in Zoology and Biology and a Diploma in Finance, Tony turned his sights to medicine and has never looked back.
After training at Wellington Hospital he spent 10 years working half time at Masterton ED and half time job sharing with his wife Cath in general practice before finally taking up GP work fulltime.
Tony says it's his GP work that he enjoys the most on a personal level.
Tony has a special interest in Musculoskeletal Medicine and Ultrasound.
Umakant is a registrar in the GP Education Program with the College of GPs.
Yang came to us after working for a number of years in ED departments - he is one of our GP owners.
Yuxuan was a GP registrar with us last year and has opted to stay. He remains in the GP training program.
