Standard Insurance Limited. (SIL) is one of the leading General Insurance Company in Bangladesh. The company was incorporated as a public limited company on 3rd November 1999 under the Companies Act 1994 and obtained registration from the Controller of Insurance on 23-12-1999 under Insurance Act 1938. The authorized capital of the company is Tk. 1000 million consisting of 100,000,000 ordinary shares of Tk. 10 each. The sponsor /subscribers have already contributed to the paid up capital of Tk. 432.96 million.
