Womeldorph CPAs, P.A. is a locally owned family business founded by Howard R. Womeldorph, Jr., CPA in the late 1980s. After working as a controller in the Marina industry for several years, Howard decided to start his own practice in 1988. Howard's company started as a one-man organization and grew rather quickly thanks to his ability to relate to the Sarasota and Bradenton businesses and individuals he served. His son, Geoff Womeldorph, CPA, joined him on a part time basis while still in college in 1992, and joined the firm permanently in 1994. Together, Geoff and Howard met the demands of individuals and businesses, small and large, that sought an accountant that could relate to them and help them grow their businesses. In a short amount of time, Geoff and Howard grew from a home-based office to a fully functioning office with a professional staff capable of handling an array of accounting tasks.
