SPIRIT IN ACTION

Spirit in Action creates a positive future grounded in the values of equality, peace and justice for all. We develop effective leaders, support organizational sustainability, build cohesive networks and catalyze transformative social change... Since its founding in 2000, Spirit in Action has been inspiring, supporting and working alongside those doing transformative work in their communities: community members, activists and organizers, individuals, groups and nonprofit organizations. As a result, Spirit in Action only works in multi-racial teams, (our goal is 50% people of color) and diversified identities (ethnicity, class, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, language, etc. and in the case of a national group, geographic and issue diversity) in every program and training... Spirit in Action catalyzes broad-based movement building. Our vision is a world in which people live sustainably, power is shared collectively, and peace and justice flourish.
