In addition to providing recommendations on our web site, we also periodically issue awards to restaurants which have proven to be consistently superior in some respect. On rare occasion, we offer our coveted Culinary Excellence Award, which is bestowed only on a restaurant that has shown itself to be truly outstanding in all respects...cuisine, atmosphere, service, and presentation...over a period of no less than ten years. That award was first granted in 2009 to Quimby's Restaurant, in Newport, Oregon, which has since closed. In 2011, it was also granted to India Palace Restaurant in Medford, Oregon... Fine dining recommendations for Southern Oregon and the Oregon Coast.
