Greg Wildie

Greg Wildie was admitted to practice in August 1983 having achieved a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Queensland and completed two years Articles of Clerkship with Butler and Ker Solicitors in Mundubbera. From August 1983 until June 2003 he worked with Power and Cartwright firstly as an employed solicitor and then from July 1997 as a partner. In July 2003 he was called to the Bar and practiced as a Barrister until November 2012 when he accepted an appointment as the managing lawyer of the Aboriginal Legal Service in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. Having completed his contract he returned to Power and Cartwright as an employed solicitor in March of 2016.

John Cartwright

In 1993 Mr. Cartwright was admitted as a barrister of the Supreme Court of Queensland and commenced full time employment with Power & Cartwright. He was later admitted as a Solicitor and in 1997 became a Partner of the firm. In 2016 Mr. Cartwright took over the business as Legal Practitioner Director. Much of his work now involves Deceased Estates, Estate Planning, Property and Commercial Law and he has practiced extensively in the areas of Tourism and Hospitality and in particular in the Motel Industry dealing with both freehold properties and leasehold businesses.

Onika Veach

Onika Veach is an experienced Wills & Estates, Property and Commercial lawyer. Onika (pronounced O-nee-ka) has been admitted as a solicitor in Queensland for over 12 years and has practiced law in both Gympie and Longreach. Prior to being admitted as a solicitor, Onika trained as a solicitor in Gympie and completed her 5 year articles before moving out west. Onika started her career from the ground up at Power & Cartwright in 1994, when Jack Cartwright was the Principal and has over 25 years experience working in the legal industry. In addition to this, she has also worked for Local Government which gave her an insight into the particularities of local government law especially relating to property law. In addition to providing everyday legal expertise in the areas of Wills & Estates, Property and Commercial law, Onika has resolved several complex or novel matters in these areas of law including: Forcing the sale of land through the District Court; Settling the dissolution of a grazing partnership; Assisting Attorneys in situations where the capacity of the Principal is in doubt; Negotiating and settling the resignation of a trustee/executor of an estate held in trust for minor and disabled children; Making claims for further provision from deceased estates on behalf of spouses and children; Defending claims against estates; Negotiating lease terms with telecommunication providers; Making a claim for adverse possession over land owned by an ancestor. Sarah Cole

Sarah attended the University of Tasmania, completing a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws in 2003 and a Graduate Certificate in Legal Practice in 2004. She was admitted as a Practitioner of the Supreme Court of Tasmania as a barrister and solicitor in 2004. Since then, Sarah has practised as a solicitor in Launceston, Maroochydore and Gympie, and has also worked in the field of planning and development in Noosa and Gympie. Sarah is interested in all areas of law and has a broad range of experience.
