PAULIEN DECORTE

My name is Paulien Decorte (she/her) and I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the department of Communication Sciences at the University of Antwerp. Most of my time is spent on Bored2M, investigating boredom and digital media selection from a media psychological and psychophysiological perspective. Alongside that, I work on De Oorzaak the largest citizen science project on studying sound perception and its health effects via a multi-wave sensor study. I am a member of the MIOS research group... In that context, I helped create, initiate, and coordinate the #CoronaCookingSurvey, a spontaneous international research project led by UAntwerp along with KULeuven and UGent. The study has received a large following domestically and internationally, with over 6000 participants in Belgium and 38 countries joining the ranks.
